COMPANY OVERVIEW

LV agriculture was established by a multinational team of seasoned professionals with deep expertise in agriculture and aquaculture. Members of the founding team previously played pivotal roles in the remarkable transformation of Viet Uc Seafood Group, from a small hatchery into one of the leading shrimp enterprises in Vietnam. Through that journey, we gained firsthand insights into:

  • How an industry is built from its foundation
  • The importance of systems and operational discipline
  • The power of standards and long-term strategy

Most importantly, we recognise that no single company can transform agriculture alone.
LV agriculture was founded with a clear purpose:

To unite stakeholders across the value chain and build the foundation for a
professional, sustainable agricultural ecosystem in Vietnam.

INDUSTRY OVERVIEW

Vietnam’s Emerging Avocado Opportunity

Vietnam is rapidly emerging as one of Asia’s promising avocado-producing countries. Favorable climate conditions in the Central Highlands combined with expanding cultivation areas have positioned the country as a potential future supplier of avocado products.

Rising Production in Recent Years

Vietnam’s avocado production has increased significantly over the years, reaching a peak of half a million tonnes annually.

Despite strong growth, the industry remains at an early stage with limited processing capacity and fragmented supply chains.

Significant Growth Potential

Production can expand 2–3 times current levels with:

  •  Improved farm management
  •  Expanded cultivation areas
  •  Optimised varieties
  •  Stronger processing infrastructure
  •  Better market access

Many avocado farms also practice intercropping, enhancing farm sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

Selective Breeding Program

To ensure the industry not only survives but continues to thrive in a stable and sustainable way, LV agriculture’s long-term goal is to establish a selective breeding and seedling program to improve avocado quality and yield.

  • High oil content varieties
  • Stable yields and resilience to climate variation
  • Disease resistance and adaptability
  • Maintaining genetic diversity for long-term sustainability

LV agriculture’s Integrated Avocado Production & Processing Complex

Why Vietnam Is Emerging as the Next Global Avocado Oil Hub

Vietnam presents a rare convergence of strategic advantages:
  • Rapidly growing avocado production
  • Consistent supply of high-quality fruit
  • Strategic access to global markets through free trade agreements
  • Sustainable intercropping practices that enhance farmer resilience
  • High-yield monocrop systems enabling scalable production

These factors enable LV agriculture to develop a premium avocado oil industry that is globally competitive, supports farmers, and creates long-term sustainable value.

A Unique Advantage for Avocado Oil Production

Despite rapid production growth, domestic fresh consumption and export volumes remain relatively low, leaving a significant supply of high-quality fruit available for processing

With an estimated 150,000–200,000 hectares of high-potential growing area and average yields of 15–20 tonnes per hectare, Vietnam is well-positioned to play a meaningful role in meeting growing global demand for avocado oil.

Unlike many other regions—where oil extraction relies primarily on rejected or lower-grade fruit—Vietnam can utilise premium-quality avocados for oil production.

Additionally, harvesting practices allow for 3–4 selective harvests per season, ensuring that only fruits are only picked at optimal maturity and raw materials are only used at optimal ripeness. This selective approach delivers:

  • Superior nutrition
  • Balanced flavor
  • Greater consistency
  • Higher purity

The combination of high-quality fruit, selective harvesting, and efficient processing gives Vietnam a unique competitive edge in the global avocado oil market.

Strategic Trade Position

Vietnam has multiple free trade agreements (FTAs) with major markets, including:

  • EVFTA
  • UKVFTA
  • CPTPP
  • RCEP

This provides tariff advantages, export incentives, and strong market access.

Young and Dynamic Workforce

Vietnam’s skilled and energetic workforce underpins the rapid adoption of advanced agricultural and processing technologies. With a labor force of over 52 million people and around 500,000 new entrants each year, the country ensures a steady talent pipeline. Agriculture still employs 13–14 million workers (about 26–27% of total employment), while an increasing share—nearly 29%—has formal training. Combined with a young, adaptable demographic, this has driven a more than fivefold increase in agricultural labor productivity since 2010, enabling scalable, efficient, and high-quality production.
